Rafael Leao is likely to be on his way out of AC Milan at the end of the season, and intermediaries have made offers to multiple Premier League clubs.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Manchester United have been approached regarding a potential move for the 26-year-old attacker.
The Italian club could sanction his departure for a fee of £43 million, and Manchester United certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done. They could use more depth in the attacking unit, and the 26-year-old is a versatile attacker who could be very useful.
He can operate both in the wide areas and centrally. He will add goals and creativity to the team. The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be interesting for the Portuguese international as well.
Meanwhile, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have also been approached regarding a potential transfer. They have been tracking the player for quite sometime and it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to make a move in the summer.
The £43 million attacker is at the peak of his career, and this could be the right time for him to take on a new challenge. He has the physicality and technical attributes for English football, and he could be an asset in the right team.
Manchester United have recently invested in Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha. Leao might struggle for regular opportunities at Old Trafford.
At Arsenal, he could be an alternative to Noni Madueke. The former Chelsea player has been underwhelming for Arsenal since joining, and they could use more competition for places.
Chelsea and Liverpool also need more depth in the wide areas. They will need upgrades on players like Jamie Gittens and Cody Gakpo.
