Man Utd player Joshua Zirkzee and AS Roma are reportedly engaged in talks over a possible deal in the January transfer window.
The forward has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after failing to make an impact at the club since his £36.5 million (€42.5m) move from Bologna in 2024.
Zirkzee has scored just four goals since joining the Red Devils and has become a peripheral figure in Ruben Amorim’s team, starting just three games in the Premier League this season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Roma have made Zirkzee their “top target” in January and are “advancing in talks” with the 24-year-old over personal terms.
The Italian outfit want to bring the Netherlands international in “as soon as possible”, but United have seemingly not yet decided whether or not to let him go.
A number of key United attackers are away at the African Cup of Nations or missing several through injury. Bruno Fernandes has been sidelined for “a while” after he was forced off at halftime of Sunday’s defeat at Aston Villa, while Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo have linked up with the Cameroon and Ivory Coast national teams respectively.
