Man Utd 'make progress' on deal to sign midfielder Éderson

Manchester United are reportedly progressing in their attempts to revamp their midfield with the potential signing of Atalanta's Éderson.

News from Italy earlier today had suggested that a deal had been done between the two clubs for around €50 million (approx £43.1m) however reports from England are more cautious.

Indeed, according to Sky Sports News, the two teams are in 'progressing' talks over the player but there has been no deal yet.

The Brazil international was not included in Carlo Ancelotti's squad for the upcoming World Cup but has been a key player for his team since his arrival from Salernitana in the summer of 2022.

This season, Éderson has featured 41 times for Atalanta in all competitions, chipping in with three goals and three assists.
