Both Manchester United and West Ham United will be looking to climb up the Premier League table when they meet at Old Trafford on Sunday 11th May at 2pm. Man Utd may be harbouring slim hopes of finishing in the top half of the Premier League. West Ham are looking to do the league double over Man Utd for the first time since 2006-07.
West Ham are one of the worst teams for corners in the Premier League this season. The Hammers have averaged 4.12 corners won per game.
Man Utd’s past three home league games have seen a combined total of just three goals scored.
Man Utd have had a disaster of the season, but there is still a chance they could finish in the top half of the table. The Red Devils are 11 points behind 10th with four games left to play. Of course, their chances could be over by the time this game is played. Man Utd are winless in their past five league games, losing three and drawing two. At home, the Red Devils are winless in their past three in the league, though two of those were draws against Arsenal and Manchester City.
West Ham cannot finish in the top half, so are purely playing for pride for the rest of the season. And they could do with a boost. The Hammers are now winless in their past seven in the league, losing four and drawing three. Three of those defeats have come away from home too, losing away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion. West Ham haven’t won an away game outside of London since beating Southampton on Boxing Day.
There’s a chance that Amad Diallo could be available in time for this game, though he likely won’t be risked from the start. Diogo Dalot is expected to miss out, while Joshua Zirkzee and Lisandro Martinez won’t feature again this season.
Crysencio Summerville could be back in time for this game, but Michail Antonio is out.
West Ham have won three of their past four games against Man Utd. But the Hammers haven’t won a league match at Old Trafford since May 2007.
