Manchester City and Aston Villa have confirmed their starting lineups ahead of today’s Premier League clash at Villa Park. Pep Guardiola’s side enters today’s match off the back of a nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions. They have slowly begun to work their way into the new season. They’ll face a tricky test at Villa Park against an opponent who has beaten them in their past two matches at the venue.
For Manchester City, Rodri and Abdukodir Khusanov will miss today’s match due to injury as per Pep Guardiola’s update on the status of his squad that arrived on Friday. Abdukodir Khusanov has returned to training but will miss today’s match. Nico is in doubt for today’s game after picking up an injury during Manchester City’s 2-nil win over Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceràmica.
Here are the starting lineups ahead of today’s massive Premier League clash at Villa Park.
Pep Guardiola has made three changes to the starting lineup that beat Villarreal last Tuesday. In comes Phil Foden, Oscar Bobb and Tijjani Reijnders. Nico, Jeremy Doku and Rico Lewis drop to the bench for today’s match.
Nico has been named as a substitute after suffering a foot injury against Villarreal.
