Manchester City and Liverpool have confirmed their starting lineups ahead of today’s FA Cup quarter-final tie at the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s side will be aiming to be the first team in the history of the competition to make eight consecutive FA Cup semi-finals. They’ll have to beat a Liverpool side that has struggled this season, and Arne Slot may see the FA Cup as their best opportunity to win silverware this season. The scene is set for what could be a massive match at the Etihad Stadium today.

Manchester City enter today’s match with one player unavailable due to injury and two others in doubt for today’s match. Josko Gvardiol is unavailable for today’s match. The Croatian defender is stepping up his recovery from the right tibial fracture he sustained against Chelsea but he isn’t expected back until mid-May.

Ruben Dias and John Stones are also in doubt for today’s match. Ruben Dias missed the Carabao Cup final due to a hamstring injury. The Portuguese international didn’t play during the international break so he could perhaps take his place on the bench for today’s match. John Stones sustained a calf injury on international duty with England and he is in doubt for today’s FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool.
