In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey stated that Manchester City are keeping a keen eye on Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian giants are eyeing a move to secure the services of the English full-back this summer.

Livramento’s Impressive Form In English Football

Livramento has served as an important player in Eddie Howe’s squad this season and has managed to put in a string of solid displays for them in the Premier League. The 23-year-old has participated in 24 matches for the Magpies in this campaign so far, securing one assist in the process across all competitions.

The London-born talent is currently among the most versatile full-backs in the Premier League. Therefore, Man City would do well to lure him to the Etihad Stadium this off-season.

His current contract at the Tyneside club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian outfit to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Is Livramento A Good Fit For Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola?

Livramento is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when needed and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The English talent can create the odd chance for his teammates from the right flank. Livramento is primarily a right-back but can also fill in as a left-back or as a right-sided wide player if told to do so by his manager. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club.

We can expect Livramento to bring more quality and depth to Man City head coach Pep Guardiola’s defence. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium next season.

At 23, Livramento’s best years are ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for Man City’s needs this summer. Thus, it makes sense for Guardiola to engineer a move to lure him to the Etihad in the upcoming transfer window.
