However, a major problem has emerged for the Bavarians. As Fabrizio Romano reports, Manchester City is also keen on Read.

The Premier League giants can throw money around like there's no tomorrow which would leave Bayern with no chance in a bidding war.

However, it's not quite there yet, even though Romano emphasizes that both clubs are very keen on Read, Bayern are a step ahead.

The German record champions have already held talks with the 19-year-old's representatives and are waiting to see how it unfolds.
