Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City players will debut a brand new fourth kit for the 2025/26 season later this month, the club have confirmed.

The striking new strip – a collaboration between City, PUMA, and EA SPORTS FC – represents a fusion of football tradition and digital innovation, with a design showcasing a dark forest green base with turquoise and metallic triangular graphics.

In a first-of-its-kind move, the Manchester City crest features a custom NFC chip allowing fans to unlock exclusive digital content within EA SPORTS FC 26 by tapping their smartphones on the crest to access in-game rewards, behind-the-scenes features, and special surprises from the club, PUMA, and EA SPORTS.

The new initiative marks a milestone in how clubs connect with their global fanbases, blending physical merchandise with virtual engagement, while PUMA’s Senior Director of Product Line Management Performance Apparel, Marco Mueller believes the partnership represents “a new standard for innovation in kit design.”

Mueller said, “Football is evolving, and so are the ways fans connect with their Club. The project began in December 2023 with all three brands joining forces to blur the lines between play in the digital game and the real pitch.”

And, as part of the official release of the new kit, Manchester City have further confirmed that their special-edition jersey will be worn by Pep Guardiola’s Men’s first team squad in select UEFA Champions League away fixtures, debuting against Villarreal on October 21.

It is further revealed that the Manchester City Women’s team will also wear the EA Sports collaborative shirt in select domestic fixtures throughout the ongoing season.

Meanwhile, EA SPORTS’ James Taylor said the collaboration “gives fans new ways to connect with their club,” reflecting Manchester City’s ongoing embrace of cutting-edge digital experiences.

Looking ahead, supporters can expect the new design to feature prominently across City’s global campaigns, particularly within the Club’s expanding digital ecosystem. With the kit also playable in EA SPORTS FC 26 – and within Football Ultimate Team – the collaboration signals an ambitious new era for City’s partnership portfolio.

As anticipation builds for its on-pitch debut in Spain later this month, the fourth kit is expected to become one of the most sought-after designs, offering fans a tangible – and now interactive – connection to Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering side.
