Manchester City: three names to succeed Guardiola

Manchester City: the three candidates to replace Pep Guardiola
The Manchester City board is already looking ahead to the post-Pep Guardiola era. According to the outlet “Fussballdaten”, the English club is preparing for their legendary manager to step down at the end of his contract, which runs until summer 2027, and has begun an in-depth search for his successor.
Three profiles stand out on this shortlist: Xabi Alonso, Enzo Maresca, and Cesc Fàbregas. The first two are seen as natural choices given their experience in high-level competitive environments.
More surprisingly, Fàbregas’s candidacy is turning heads. At 38, the former midfielder has only managed Como, but his results there have been impressive enough to catch City’s attention. It’s a bold option, signaling a potentially generational shift on the Manchester bench.
