Man Utd are expected to be busy this summer
Manchester United have reportedly agreed their first deal for the summer transfer window.
According to reports in Turkey, an agreement has been reached between Man United and Besiktas for the sale of goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
Fanatik claim the two clubs had a meeting this week and that Bayindir is now expected to join Besiktas when the transfer window reopens for €5million (£4.3million).
The 27-year-old will have a year remaining on his contract at the end of the season, though Man Utd have the option to trigger a 12-month extension.
However, it would appear that an exit is more likely with Besiktas said to be making progress on agreeing personal terms with the goalkeeper.
The report also states that the Turkish side tried to sign Bayindir in the January transfer window, but Man United blocked an exit at the last minute.
Bayindir started the season has United’s first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier League, but lost his place to summer signing Senne Lammens at the beginning of October and has not made an appearance since.
A potential departure for the Turkey international would leave a void, one that Andre Onana hopes to fill.
As per the Guardian, Onana, who is spending the season on loan at Trabzonspor, wants to fight to re-establish himself as Man Utd’s No1 and believes he will be given a chance to do so.
Onana has kept four clean sheets in his 20 appearances across all competitions for Trabzonspor so far, but would face a battle to dislodge Lammens who has been tipped for a “big, big future” by Gary Neville.
“I’ve said it before, people get tired me saying it, I do think [the goalkeeper] is the most difficult position and most scrutinised position in English football,” Neville said on Sky Sports after Man United’s 1-0 win over Everton.

“I had my concerns when he came in, I thought: ‘Why would you take a chance with a goalkeeper who’s young, who’s not got the pedigree, he’s played in a different league, he’s going to come to Manchester United and it could eat him up’.
“It is early, but he looks like he’s got the temperament and he’s got the technical quality, he’s doing the right things - he holds the ball when he should hold it, he punches when he should punch, but even when he punches it’s not one of those wild punches - everything seems under control.
“This kid, he’s come in and I really have been impressed with him. He looks like he’s got a big, big future early days.”
