Manchester United’s long-running transfer soap opera involving Jadon Sancho has edged closer to a resolution, but the narrative remains laced with caution. As reported by TuttoSport, “The final steps will also be the most delicate, which is why caution was still being advocated for Jadon Sancho until yesterday.”
Far from collapsing, the deal is still contingent on Juventus engineering an exit from Continassa to create room financially. “He could arrive soon. He could arrive anywhere, that is, in any position. But he must do it.” The language is strong, almost urgent. Sancho is ready to go, United want him gone, and Juventus are circling. Yet no firm financial ground has been secured, and the feeling is that diplomacy must still run its course.
The idea that “there have been new contacts for the Englishman in the last few hours, all in all, purely interlocutory” suggests negotiations are very much in their political stage. With Juventus not prepared to meet the £25 million asking price, the most realistic resolution lies in compromise. “The £15 million could be supplemented by easily achievable bonuses—and from participation in the severance package requested by the player.”

That package remains a sticking point. Sancho may be forced to accept a sizeable wage cut to land in Turin. A player who once seemed destined to redefine United’s flank play is now caught up in boardroom bureaucracy and accounting spreadsheets. The football, for now, must wait.
Luiz and Hojlund Conversations Resurface
Parallel conversations between Manchester United and Juventus have never fully ceased, and TuttoSport claims, “Manchester United and Juventus continue to talk regardless of the winger’s situation.” That continuing dialogue has kept other names alive, notably Douglas Luiz. United retain an interest in the Aston Villa midfielder, but “he’s not currently a priority,” according to the report.
Still, with swap deals and roster balancing becoming standard, Luiz remains in the conversation. “Potential swaps are therefore still being discussed—and the one between the Brazilian and Hojlund has never faded.” With redundancies at play on both sides, the potential to resolve multiple squad issues in one clean swoop holds appeal for decision-makers.
In a window where financial acrobatics are more valuable than brute spending, compromises could unlock stalled ambitions. Clubs want value, and they want fit. The idea of rekindling business around Hojlund also feels telling—especially given his links to Juventus in earlier discussions.
Then comes the centre-forward conundrum. “We can’t help but start with Dusan Vlahovic,” wrote TuttoSport. The Serbian remains central to Juventus’ forward planning, yet simultaneously a puzzle piece that could fall into place at Old Trafford.
“Manchester has never been indifferent to the Serbian’s situation,” we’re told. That phrase alone suggests a long-standing interest that has never properly ignited. With Joshua Zirkzee now seemingly off the table and Rasmus Hojlund’s long-term value still under review, United are in search of a solid centre-forward option. “They want to go for a solid name, not yet another gamble,” especially after recent market frustrations.
There’s clarity in the objective. The idea is to bring in someone proven and adaptable, not another project player. Vlahovic, who commands both presence and pedigree, could fit that profile. But he, like Sancho, represents a financial and political challenge rather than a straightforward addition.
Beyond the frontline saga, TuttoSport hints at parallel movement elsewhere. Randal Kolo Muani, another name in play, would reportedly welcome a return to Italy. “That flash of brilliance proved him right,” the article suggests, referencing his earlier rise with Atalanta.
There’s interest too in Marcus Rashford—though tentative. “For now, it’s just a request for information,” yet it signals that United are open to broader recalibrations. Removing Sancho may not just be about salary or fit, but the entire dynamic of the attacking unit.
As PSG set their demands for Kolo Muani at €50 million, a structured buy-back or loan-to-buy approach could appeal. “Comolli has so far only offered a buy-back option, while Campos insists on an obligation.” These are different footballing philosophies in commercial form.
The question that now lingers is whether footballing common sense will prevail over transfer poker. With so many moving parts, the real art may lie not in bold purchases but intelligent alignment of wants and needs.
There’s a sense of cautious hope swirling around this potential Sancho exit and Juventus link. We’ve waited long enough for some closure, and the idea of Jadon finally moving on suits all parties. “He could arrive anywhere, that is, in any position. But he must do it.” Could not agree more. Sancho needs a fresh start, and we need to shift his wages off the books.
But the numbers matter. If Juve won’t meet the £25 million price and only offer £15 million with bonuses, the club has to be sharp in negotiation. This cannot turn into another soft exit. The severance package? That feels like a United issue, but Sancho has to compromise too.
Seeing Vlahovic’s name again is exciting. He’s a top striker, and let’s be honest, we’ve fumbled that role since Cavani left. Martial didn’t step up, Hojlund’s still learning, and Zirkzee slipped through. Go big or go home, right?
Rashford’s name being floated in talks is shocking. If that’s real, it shows how serious we are about change. He’s been off-form, sure, but moving him? That’s a statement.
The squad needs a proper reset, and if that means sacrifices, so be it. We’ve waited long enough.
