Manchester United and Real Madrid are both keen to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United this summer.

Guimaraes is a top target for both sides as the duo look to refresh their midfield options. The Brazilian has been one of the Premier League’s most influential players since signing for Newcastle from Lyon in January 2022.

He’s been an integral part of the team that has secured Champions League qualification twice in three seasons, and lifted the club’s first domestic trophy in 70 years with League Cup success last season.

Reuters claim Manchester United are in talks over a deal worth in the region of £69m. There is belief at Old Trafford that a transfer can be agreed for the 28-year-old, should Newcastle miss out on Champions League football. The Magpies are seven points adrift of the top five with eight games to go.

However, Real Madrid are also monitoring Guimaraes. The Spanish side are open to allowing Eduardo Camavinga leave in the summer and see the Newcastle captain as an ideal replacement.
