The Secret Scout – a reputable source for youth football and transfer news – has claimed on social media platform X that Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have also sent scouts on multiple occasions to watch Joseph.

The teenage sensation is a ‘top number 9’ who has impressed at under-16 and under-17 levels for Liverpool, and Man United have been watching him.

The Red Devils’ under-18s lost the FA Youth Cup to their Manchester City counterparts last month and will be desperate to bolster their ranks with the best youngsters in the land. Joseph fits the bill and he could be open to remaining in England.

Man United first-team manager Michael Carrick has shown that he will never hesitate to hand youngsters a chance to train and play with the big boys.

A move to the Red Devils could appeal to Joseph given the pathway to senior football available.

He joined Liverpool at under-9 level and caught the attention of English fans after scoring a hat‑trick for England under-16s late last year to take his international tally to six goals in four games.

He has been scoring freely at academy level for years and can also play through the middle, as a number 10, or out wide.

Joseph started his career as a midfielder, which has greatly helped him improve his passing and ability to pick out forwards whenever he is deployed slightly deeper.

Despite being a number 9, the youngster is capable of beating players, linking play, and holding the ball up.

He has also bagged hat-tricks against the likes of Everton under-16s and Stockport County under-16s.

Joseph captained Liverpool at Bayern Munich’s under-15 Elite Cup in 2024 and was also part of the team that won the Pape indoor tournament in Germany last year, bagging goals in the quarter‑final, semi‑final and final.

Joseph is a brilliant finisher with plenty of pace to burn, and it is clear to see why Man United are keeping tabs on him.
