Manchester United are in contact to sign a top young talent in the summer transfer window and bring him to Old Trafford, according to a report.
Even under Ruben Amorim, Man United have been dire this season.
The Red Devils are as low as 13th in the Premier League table right now and have picked up just 37 points from 29 matches.
Man United, though, have progressed to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League where they will face Lyon.
It is clear that this has been a hugely disappointing season for the Red Devils, but Man United are determined to bounce back and are looking to make signings in the summer transfer window.
One of the players that Man United are reported to be keen on is Kenan Yildiz, with TuttoJuve reporting that the Premier League club have already started to make moves for the Turkey international left-winger.
It has been reported that Man United have “initiated contacts to assess the terms of a possible agreement” and have “begun to take concrete steps” to sign the 19-year-old.
Several clubs in the Premier League are interested in Yildiz, who has played predominantly as a left-winger this season and has scored six goals and made four assists in 41 matches in all competitions this season.
Man United, who could bid for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the summer transfer window, are trying to get ahead of their competitors for Yildiz, knowing that Antony and Marcus Rashford could leave for good at the end of the season.
While Brazilian winger Antony is on loan at Real Betis at the moment, English forward Rashford is on loan at Aston Villa for the rest of the season.
Juventus reportedly want €90 million (£76million) for Yildiz.
Man United are not the club they once were and do not have that aura anymore.
If the Red Devils are unable to qualify for the Champions League next season, then it is hard to see them be too attractive to Yildiz.
Juventus could end up in the top four of the Serie A table this season and play in the Champions League for the 2025-26 campaign.
Yildiz is still only 19, and it is unlikely that he would want to join a club that are not doing well right now.
