Man United set to be without key man in attack for European showdown
Manchester United have been dealt a painful injury blow heading into a crucial week.
Ruben Amorim now has the likes of Ayden Heaven, Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw fit again, but United sit 14th in the table and only three points off 17th after they were hammered by Newcastle on Sunday.
The focus now shifts back to the Europa League and a season-defining showdown with Lyon on Thursday and United go into that after a fresh setback.
Joshua Zirkzee is a major doubt after he limped off against Newcastle, while it remains to be seen how long Matthijs de Ligt is out for.

Joshua Zirkzee has become an increasingly popular player at United but he now looks certain to face a spell on the sidelines.
The forward appeared to suffer a hamstring injury against Newcastle and had to be helped from the pitch, leaving Amorim with his head in his hands.
The United boss said after the match: "Josh I think he will be out for some games.”
Potential return date: Unknown
Matthijs de Ligt was once again absent from the United squad on Sunday, having also missed the Manchester derby and the first leg against Lyon.
There has been no fresh update on De Ligt’s injury since Amorim spoken ahead of the clash with Man City, when he gave a vague assessment of the situation.
“Matta, he has an injury. Let's see how long it is going to take,” Amorim said.

An ankle injury has kept Amad Diallo on the sidelines since early February.
United last week posted pictures of Amad on social media in individual training and with a ball at his feet, suggesting he has made progress in his recovery.
Speaking earlier this month, Amorim suggested that the ankle injury is not expected to end Amad’s season, with a return next month still possible.
“He’s doing quite well,” the United boss said. “We hope to have him before the season is finished.
“We'll see, but he's anxious to play, so we are waiting for him.”

Lisandro Martinez’s season is over, after he suffered an ACL injury against Crystal Palace in February.
The defender underwent surgery a week later to begin the long road back to fitness, with a return in time for the start of next season seemingly the best-case scenario.
Martinez posted on social media: “The surgery went perfectly! Now it's time to give it my all, with heart and soul, in the rehabilitation process.”
Potential return date: Summer 2025
It is nearly four months since Jonny Evans last played, when he came on at half-time and scored in the Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham.
Amorim recently said Evans was “recovering” but there has been no potential timeframe for his return given or an update on the exact nature of the injury.
