Man Utd have finally win back-to-back Premier League games under Ruben Amorim
Roy Keane has said Manchester United must build on their win over Liverpool.
Man Utd inflicted a fourth straight defeat on their bitter rivals on Sunday afternoon as goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire earned the club’s first win at Anfield since January 2016.
In doing so, the Red Devils have now won back-to-back Premier League matches - remarkably for the first time under Ruben Amorim despite his appointment just under a year ago.
After the final whistle, Sky Sports cameras captured joyous scenes inside the Man United dressing room as the players celebrated a landmark win.
Though when questioned if this result means a resurgence from the Red Devils, Keane was quick to point out that next week’s game against Brighton is now of huge importance.
"I wouldn't go as far as to say Man United are back but it's a huge win for them,” he said.
"We've all been critical of this group of players over the last year but on today's performance, they showed grit. They stuck at it and you felt they had goals in them.
“The good thing for some of the attacking players that have come into the club is that they haven't got the negativity of last season, where it was really bad.
“They're winning a few matches now, they've won at Liverpool so they've got to take that belief now into the game next week against Brighton.
“Enjoy a little bit of success tonight, no doubt the fans will have a few drinks but stay focused and stay in the zone.
“They look like they've got goals in this team and that was a big problem for them last season. For all their problems, they weren't a goal threat.
“Some of the attacking players looked like there was a swagger about them. They've now got to build on it.”
