Manchester United are plotting a summer move for Jarrod Bowen if West Ham United are relegated this term, according to The Guardian.
The Red Devils want quality attacking depth as they prepare for the Champions League and will look to sign the Hammers’ captain.
The Hammers could be relegated tonight if Tottenham Hotspur beat Chelsea, and Bowen is expected to leave if that happens.
However, the Red Devils will face competition from Liverpool and Chelsea for the 29-year-old.
Newcastle United have also been credited with interest in the England international, but he could prefer to join a team in the Champions League.
Bowen has bagged eight goals and ten assists in 37 league games this term. He has tallied a combined 21 goals and assists across all competitions.
Man United regard Bowen’s versatility as a big plus, as he can also play as a number nine despite predominantly being a right winger.
The Red Devils are considering the West Ham star as an option on the left wing.
The ‘unbelievable‘ Bowen moved to the London Stadium from Hull City in 2020 and has notched 84 goals and 62 assists in 279 games since then.
He has the potential to become a key player for the Red Devils. He brings much-needed experience and quality to the table and is an upgrade on Amad Diallo.
More suitors are expected to join the race to sign him if West Ham are relegated and he impresses at the World Cup with England.
