Manto Alvinegro: art book on Corinthians shirts launched in 1,910 copies

A true work of art in book form has been officially launched so that the Fiel Torcida can acquire and contemplate the history of Corinthians through its jerseys. The edition is limited to only 1,910 copies and is conceived by Cássio Brandão, recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world's largest collector of football jerseys.

“The Manto Alvinegro is a life project. I have been dedicated to organizing and cataloging Corinthians jerseys for over 20 years, and in the book, we find a very passionate research, never done before, showing all the jersey models we have used since our foundation. It is passionate, as I said, and it makes me very proud”, stated Cássio.

The book gathers the 100 most important jerseys in Timão's history, according to the author's curation, and also features exclusive texts from great idols and alvinegra personalities. Among the contributors are Basílio, Casagrande, Rivellino, Neto, Wladimir, Tamires, Gabi Zanotti, Serginho Groisman, Juca Kfouri, Alessandra Negrini, and Negra Li.

“Every detail of this book is unique and was designed to be a historic edition, a collector's item. Everyone knows and recognizes the passion and strength of the Corinthians supporters, a fanbase that has a team, and Manto Alvinegro uniquely presents the history of Timão through the strength of its jersey”, emphasized editor Daniel Pereira.

Another detail of the book that draws attention is the fabric cover, which gives a luxurious air to the work. Following this, the book presents the forewords, signed by two presidents: Osmar Stábile, the current president of Corinthians, and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the President of the Republic and a passionate fan of the club.

The official launch, with the presence of the author, will take place on the next February 7th, at the auditorium of the Football Museum, located at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu. The event will also feature the presence of illustrious Corinthians fans.
