Barcelona will not take up the 30 million euros option to buy Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford, who will return to his parent club.
The forward had made clear he wanted to stay, yet he has been informed he will not be kept on. According to Mundo Deportivo, the arrival of his compatriot Anthony Gordon prompted the club to pass.

Rashford, 28, produced 14 goals and 14 assists across the campaign for the Catalans.
Head coach Hansi Flick's view proved decisive for the hierarchy. Rashford is older than Gordon at 25 and seen as less convincing defensively.
He has already removed Barcelona references from his Instagram bio.
