Marcus Rashford (27) has got his career back on track at Barcelona. The Englishman’s career had drifted while at formative club Manchester United. Amid a difficult context of poor performances, managerial changes and incoherent squad building, the forward began to have a diminished impact for the Red Devils and he had also fallen out of the national team picture.
A loan spell at Aston Villa was not made permanent over the summer, and so Rashford instead headed to Spain. His opening months with the Catalan club have been overwhelmingly positive. In 13 games, he has five goals and seven assists; four of those goals have come in the UEFA Champions League.
His loan move to La Blaugrana includes the option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign. As per a report from Franco-Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the England international is keen for that option to be triggered by the La Liga side.
