Marseille have completed the signing of Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer, with the French midfielder signing a five-year contract at the Stade Veledrome.
The 29-year-old, who has been a free agent since his Juventus contract expired at the start of July, returns to his homeland five years after leaving for Turin.
His move to Juve was also on a free, after leaving Marseille’s great rivals, PSG in the summer of 2019.
In his time with the Old Lady, he made 212 appearances and scored 22 goals, winning one Serie A title, two Italian Cups and one Italian Super Cup.
Rabiot, who has 48 caps for France and played at EURO 2024, was linked with several of Europe’s biggest clubs, notably Manchester United, but it is Marseille who who have secured his signature.
The famous club currently sit in second place in Ligue 1 club following a summer of high-profile arrivals under new manager Roberto De Zerbi.
Rabiot’s arrival is a further signal of intent as they look to return to their former glories.
