Massara hints at January market: “If we can get better we will.” | OneFootball

Roma sporting director Ricky Massara answers journalists’ questions in the minutes before kickoff of the Roma-Napoli match. 

“The season has just started, there’s a very balanced field and many teams are doing well. We’re satisfied with our start. This match is an opportunity for us to see where we stand against the reigning champions.”

“Gasperini? The coach’s work is fantastic; he’s doing some great things. Even though we’re just starting out, his impact is clearly visible. We also have to give credit to a team whose backbone is the same as last year, which performed well in the second half of last season and continues to do well. This is an indisputable fact.”

“The January window? If there are opportunities to improve this already very good squad, we’ll try to seize them.”

“Pellegrini is doing very well, we had no doubts about that. The manager is using him in this position, and with his different characteristics, he’s giving the team a great boost and an effective contribution. Napoli are always a threat; it’s not a question of the formation, and they’re capable of change: I don’t see it as a question of the formation, but of the team’s value.”
