Massive disappointment: Utrecht without star player Jensen for months

FC Utrecht have revealed that star midfielder Victor Jensen will be out of action for months after the midfielder injured his hamstring in the second leg against Zrinjski Mostar in Europa League qualifying.

Ron Jans will therefore be unable to call on Jensen for the opening matches of the Europa League main phase. A potential international debut has also been postponed.

“I am extremely disappointed that I will have to miss the upcoming European matches with FC Utrecht and my first call-up to the national team,” Jensen said on the club website.

“It was a childhood dream, one I’ll keep working towards. I’m happy the team has completed the job and qualified for the Europa League. In the coming period, I’ll do everything I can to be part of the team again soon.”
