The Bianconeri get back to their winning ways following a turbulent start to the season as Kenan Yildiz brace inspired a superb 2-1 comeback win for Juventus against Cagliari at the Allianz stadium.
A shaky and stale start to the match was capitalized in fine matter by Cagliari as promising Italian full-back Marco Palestra dashed by Filip Kostic in ingenious fashion and with blistering pace to square it off to Stefano Esposito, as the former Nerazzurri striker stunned the Old Lady with the opening goal in the 26th minute.
Juventus showed no panic and responded in beautifully from kick-off, as Kephren Thuram delivered Kenan Yildiz a scrumptious lobbed pass over the Rossoblu back-line. The 20-year-old starlet proved to be lethal, striking it past promising keeper Elia Caprile to regain the level score-line 60 seconds after conceding.
The Turkish international took the game on his shoulders as a sublime back-heel flick from Weston Mickennie latched onto Pierre Kalulu, and Yildiz was picked out brilliantly by the French defender. Cool and composed, the Juve Next Gen graduate pulverized his way past his markers and fired a venomous strike to gain the lead right before the end of the first 45 min.
The Bianconeri remained on cruise control in the second half, coasting towards victory and gaining three vital points that moves them to seventh, A point off of the top four of the league.
Yildiz proves to be decisive again for coach Luciano Spalletti’s side, as the rising star extends his fine run of form to 4 goals and 3 assists in 11 games-played in the Serie A thus far, strengthening his claim that he may arguably be the best player in the top-flight Italian league in the 2025/26 season.
