Matheus Donelli joins Shabab Al Ahli on loan from Corinthians | OneFootball

Corinthians goalkeeper Matheus Donelli has joined Shabab Al Ahli on loan until mid-2026.

According to Globo.com, the Dubai club will cover his wages in full, and Donelli missed Friday’s training after being cleared to travel for medical tests.

Corinthians have not disclosed whether the agreement includes an option or obligation to buy at the end of the loan.

His standing has been questioned internally since 2024, when Cássio and Carlos Miguel left within weeks. The board then sought Hugo Souza, lacking full confidence in the academy graduate.

In 2025, Donelli had a run as starter, making 11 appearances and conceding 14 goals.

Under contract with Corinthians until 30 June 2028, he had slipped to fourth-choice behind Hugo Souza, Felipe Longo, now the immediate back-up, and Kauê. The latter two are also academy products.
