Matheus Pereira has urged Breno Bidon to remain at Corinthians, while noting the decision is the youngster’s to make. Speaking on Tuesday, he expressed a desire for Bidon to stay for years and highlighted his quality and character.

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians will only discuss a move if Bidon’s release clause is paid in full. He is contracted until 2029, with a 100 million euros clause for overseas clubs and around R$ 370 million for Brazilian sides.

Bidon’s standing grew after he began the move for the goal that sealed the 2025 Copa do Brasil, when Memphis Depay scored in a 2-1 win over Vasco.

Like Bidon, Pereira graduated from the Terrão. He reached the first team at 17 and was part of the 2015 Brazilian title-winning squad, then had a brief spell that included a missed penalty in the 2016 Copinha final. He joined Juventus in 2016 for 2.5 million euros.

After several loans, he impressed for Barcelona B, who signed him permanently, then moved to Eibar in Spain, where he played more than 100 matches. In 2025 he joined Fortaleza, and after the final stretch of the season, he was loaned to Corinthians until the end of 2026, with an option to buy.
