Six Lazio players will be away from Formello during the November international break after receiving call-ups from their respective national teams.

Six Lazio Players Will Be Involved in International Fixtures

The team’s far-from-ideal start to the campaign has been costing some of their players a call-up. For instance, Matteo Guendouzi has been overlooked once again, while others like Taty Castellanos and Nicolo Rovella aren’t available for selection due to their injuries. Nevertheless, six players still did enough to warrant their spots, and chief among them is club captain, Mattia Zaccagni.

Mattia Zaccagni Returns to Italy Squad

The Lazio skipper was injured during the October international break, but Gennaro Gattuso didn’t pass up the opportunity to reintroduce him to the squad, as Italy prepare to take on Moldova and Norway in their last two qualifiers. The 30-year-old has been in spectacular form recently, so it remains to be seen if he’ll be granted a starting role for the Azzurri.

Gustav Isaksen & Christos Mandas

Staying with the European qualifiers, Gustav Isaksen will represent Denmark in their two contests against Belarus and Scotland. Next Tuesday’s clash in Glasgow will determine which nation will book its place in the summer tournament. Christos Mandas’ Greece are part of the same group, but they have already lost all hope of qualifying.

Elseid Hysaj & Adam Marusic

Elseid Hysaj will also have an integral role to play as Albania compete for a play-off spot. They will take on Andora away from home on Thursday, before hosting England in their final fixture on Sunday. His fellow full-back Adam Marusic will also be in action for Montenegro, who will play Gibraltar and Croatia in insignificant qualifiers.

Boulaye Dia Set for Brazil Challenge

Finally, Boulaye Dia’s Senegal have already qualified for the World Cup, but they’ll be involved in two friendlies. First, they will meet Brazil at the Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday, and then lock horns with Kenya three days later.
