Bayern Munich won 2-1 against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga clash on Saturday afternoon at the Allianz Arena.

Serge Gnabry missed the game due to an adductor injury, and Nicolas Jackson replaced him in the starting line-up.

Jackson failed to make an impact, but Harry Kane and Michael Olise ensured Bayern maintained their perfect start to the season, with seven wins in a row.

Gnabry picked up the injury in Bayern training after returning from the international break and missed the crucial game.

The German international has been in tremendous form this season, and missing him for a long time would come as a blow, considering that Bayern have a small squad.

After the match, Max Eberl confirmed that Gnabry has suffered a minor injury and that he will be fit to face Club Brugge on Wednesday in the Champions League.

Eberl said: “It’s not so bad. In the final training session on Friday, he felt something in his adductor, a slight pain. Nothing’s torn, nothing dramatic. So he should be available again relatively soon.”

Serge Gnabry to be offered a new deal?

Gnabry has a contract at Bayern until the end of the season, but the German club are happy with his performances so far.

In recent weeks, Bayern have been linked with a move for Said El Mala, but a potential move for him will depend only on whether Gnabry leaves the club for free.

Gnabry has managed three goals and four assists this season already, and has proved to be an important player for Vincent Kompany’s side.

Christian Falk has recently told CFBayern that Gnabry is ready to take a pay cut to extend his deal at the club.

In the absence of injured stars like Jamal Musiala, Gnabry’s potential return to the next match would come as a huge boost.
