Maxime Dominguez sends message to Andrew after Flamengo move ahead of Vasco clash | OneFootball

Vasco midfielder Maxime Dominguez has sent a message of support to new Flamengo goalkeeper Andrew, his former team-mate at Gil Vicente, as the rivals ready for their next meeting.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Dominguez posted a photo alongside Andrew on social media and wrote that their journey had taken them from Barcelos to Rio de Janeiro.

The pair were together at Gil Vicente in 2023, sharing a season in the Portuguese club’s squad.

Andrew is Flamengo’s second signing for the 2026 campaign. He has arrived to fill Matheus Cunha’s spot and will compete for a place with the Argentine Agustín Rossi.

The goalkeeper has been training with the squad at Ninho do Urubu since last week, adding another option for head coach Filipe Luís.

Flamengo face Vasco in the third round of the Carioca at 21:30 Brasília time on Wednesday 21 at the Maracanã.
