Real Madrid megastar Kylian Mbappe has begun the 2025/26 season in red-hot form, with four goals and an assist from four La Liga matches already.
The 26-year-old forward was a key protagonist in Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday, scoring and assisting a goal apiece, helping the team maintain their 100% record this season.
Up next for Real Madrid is a game against French giants Olympique de Marseille in their first game of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
It will bring Mbappe face to face against a familiar opponent, given that he has played against Marseille plenty of times during his time in France with AS Monaco and PSG.

Indeed, Mbappe has netted as many as ten goals in the 16 matches that he has played against Marseille across his stints with Monaco and PSG.
However, it was not lost on the France captain that Marseille are a new team now, with a new project being built.
“But they have changed a lot, they have a new project with Medhi Benatia (OM sporting director) who is a friend,” noted Mbappe.
Continuing, he added: “It’s cool to meet French teams again. Plus we’re playing at the Bernabeu, it’s going to be a fun match, it’s been a long time since they played in the Champions League.”
“It’s going to be nice to play against them again, it’ll bring back some good old memories I hope,” concluded Mbappe.
