It’s been a tough season for Strasbourg. They’ve started slowly compared to last year, and now have lost their manager to sister club Chelsea. Fans are understandably upset and worried about the future of their club.

It’s clearly vital that they try to win the fans back over, and transfers are always a good way of doing that.
They have a superb record in terms of buying players – there’s a reason that two of their current key players, Emmanuel Emegha and Mamadou Sarr are coming to Chelsea next summer. We need them to keep buying smart so that the conveyor belt of talent to Stamford Bridge can continue rolling on.
Next up is Gessime Yassine. The Morocco Under-20 star is taking his medical at Strasbourg today ahead of a €7m move from Dunkerque, according to the well connected Santi Aouna of FootMercato.
We can’t tell you much about the attacking midfielder – we just know we trust Strasbourg’s scouts, especially when it comes to French based players. He will add more quality to Gary O’Neil’s squad after the former Wolves and Bournemouth boss took over from Liam Rosenior last week.
This might not be the last business they do this window. Knowing that Sarr and Emegha are off this summer, they must be thinking ahead about filling those gaps.
Chelsea are suddenly seemingly interested in January transfer moves, and Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph has a big update on a potential sale the Blues could made.
Another player on the way out could be Tyrique George, who was minutes from a £22m move to Fulham in the summer, only for the deal to collapse. Right now, there don’t seem to be any buyers.
