MIAMI – The FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Morocco 2025 continued on Friday, with three Concacaf nations playing their final Group Stage encounters.

Mexico obtained a victory to join the USA and Canada in the Knockout Stage. Costa Rica bowed out of the tournament after a defeat to the hosts.

Norway 0, United States 5 

The United States earned a 5-nil win over Norway in Group C at Football Academy Mohammed VI (Pitch 3) in Salé, Morocco.

Kherrington Ream struck the opening goal in the 6’ as the U.S. took the minimal lead into halftime.

The U.S. offense broke open in the second half, with Ellie Kocher doubling the lead in the 49’. Nyanya Touray and Mckenna Whitham scored in the 63’ and 64’ respectively to place the U.S. in a more comfortable advantage.

Micayla Johnson put a bow on the victory in the 80’ as the U.S. wrapped up the group stage with a perfect 3-0-0 record.

The Stars and Stripes attack will retake the field on Tuesday in the Round of 16. The USA’s opponent will be determined following Saturday’s results.

Costa Rica 1, Morocco 3

Costa Rica fell 3-1 to hosts Morocco in Group A at Olympic Stadium Annex Sports Complex Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, Morocco.

Mayssa Baha placed the host nation in front in the 4’ and doubled the lead in the 39’ from the penalty spot. A Fabiana Alfaro own goal in the 77’ all but sealed the result.

Las Ticas cut the deficit in the 90’+5’ through Naima Moya. Costa Rica departs the tournament with a 0-1-2 record and fourth place in Group A.

Mexico 1, Cameroon 0

Mexico won 1-nil against Cameroon in Group B at Football Academy Mohammed VI (Pitch 2) in Salé, Morocco.

Citlalli Reyes struck in the 87’ to deliver a second consecutive match-winning goal. The victory sees Mexico finish second in its group with a 2-0-1 record.

El Tricolor will play its Round of 16 bout on Wednesday against the team that finishes second place in Group F.
