Michael Olise became the first French player to reach 25 assists in a single season with a club from Europe’s big five leagues in the 21st century, according to Stats Foot. He hit the landmark in Bayern Munich’s 2-1 win at Real Madrid in Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg, and Stats Foot added that it moves him past Franck Ribéry’s 24 in 2011-12 with the same club.

Just after the interval, the 24-year-old set up Harry Kane in the 46th minute, his 25th assist of the campaign across all competitions.

Olise has continued to impress this season.

Opta says he has supplied eight more assists than any other player across Europe’s big five leagues.

Those leagues are Germany, England, Spain, France and Italy.
