Mikel Arteta on this St James’ Park match:
“The next stop is the final in Wembley.
“We know how it is and you can feel it.
“The buzz that the game gave us against [Man] City and in the manner that we did it.
“We are going to give it a real go.”
Mikel Arteta on using Sunday’s win against Manchester City as motivation:
“When you compare the emotions of the team after the defeat [against Newcastle United in the first leg] and today, it is very different, because we come from very strong performances, especially the one against Man City.
“It is a moment for full gas and we are ready to go for it, approach it in a way where we can reach the final.”
Mikel Arteta on team news for this Newcastle United match:
“Ben White is still out, hopefully after the break he will be available.
“Bukayo Saka is not available yet.”
Mikel Arteta on Arsenal’s striker issues:
“We are going to have to be flexible in the front line.
“The ones we have, we have to make sure they stay fit and are contributing, can play in that position.
“Raheem Sterling has played in that position, Ethan Nwaneri I think can play in that position, Gabriele Martinelli, so lets see in relation to how everybody is in the moment, the opponent.
“But at some point I think we will have to try something different.”

“We had a clear intention.
“Which is always when a window opens to explore the opportunities to improve our squad.
“With players with injuries, we have been impacted and we haven’t achieved it [new signings].
