While Victor Boniface is set for a loan with option to buy from Bayer Leverkusen for €32m, Milan are also still pushing for Sporting CP striker Conrad Harder, as Santiago Gimenez might be sold instead.
The Rossoneri seem to have abandoned negotiations with Manchester United for Rasmus Hojlund, who is instead closer to joining Napoli.
Meanwhile, they would appear to be on the verge of securing Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, on loan for circa €5m with an option to buy for a further €28m.
They are just finalising the details of personal terms with the Nigeria international and Boniface could fly in for his medical as early as Thursday.

However, that is not all, because La Gazzetta dello Sport maintain Milan are also still pushing for another striker, Sporting CP’s Danish international Harder.
The 20-year-old would be available for around €25m on a permanent transfer from Portugal.
According to MilanNews.it, this is possible because Milan are by no means convinced they want to keep Santiago Gimenez, despite the fact they only bought him in January.

The 24-year-old Mexico international cost €32m plus bonuses and a percentage of the future sale fee from Feyenoord just six months ago.
He was purchased for previous coach Paulo Fonseca, but new boss Max Allegri has very different ideas on what he wants a centre-forward to be.
