Christopher Nkunku’s high-profile move to Milan has taken a sharp downward turn, with the Frenchman now officially considered “on the market” just months after his permanent arrival from Chelsea.

According to a report by Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo, the club’s management has been entirely unconvinced by his impact at the San Siro.

Despite the significant investment made to secure him from London in 2025, Nkunku has reportedly failed to meet the tactical and physical expectations of the Rossoneri leadership. The rejection is described as definitive, leading the club to seek an immediate exit strategy for the forward.

Milan is now banking on a solution from his representative, the powerful agent Pini Zahavi. Recent contacts have taken place to task Zahavi with finding a suitable buyer, ideally as early as the January window, to prevent Nkunku’s value from depreciating further on the bench.

While the transfer was initially hailed as a marquee signing for the post-Giroud era, it has quickly devolved into a costly mistake that the club is eager to rectify. The priority now is to find a club willing to take on Nkunku’s salary and offer a deal that allows Milan to move on.
