The match officials for Leeds United’s Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round tie with Millwall on Saturday have been announced, with Gavin Ward set to take charge at Elland Road.
In an extensive career to date, the Surrey-based official has taken charge of over 600 career matches, 231 of which have come in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Whites have a strong record in matches overseen by Ward, winning eight of the 12 encounters and drawing once.
That run included two fixtures this campaign, both on league duties, where Daniel Farke’s side beat Hull City and Coventry City at Elland Road.
Part of the Select Group 2 officials, Ward has refereed 23 Millwall games, with the Lions winning 13 and drawing seven. Most recently, the London outfit edged past Luton Town away from home towards the end of January.
The Fourth Round tie will be the 27th time Ward has featured in the FA Cup, with his first appearance coming in a 2007 match between Bristol Rovers and Leyton Orient.
