Minas Gerais Military Police filed a general incident report against Vasco da Gama’s directors after a 3-3 draw with Cruzeiro at the Mineirão. According to Globo.com, president Pedrinho was cited among those most inflamed.

Cruzeiro led at half-time, Vasco turned it round, then lost Barros to a red card, conceded, went 3-2 up, then were pegged back for 3-3.

Tenente-coronel Henrique Nunes said members of Vasco’s board confronted officials at full-time. The fourth official requested protection from the referees’ GSA security, a Shock Police cordon formed and pepper spray was used after pushing on shields.

Nunes said officials reported no physical aggression, only verbal exchanges. He added the president was sought but not found, and reports were being finalised with routine steps to identify him in Rio.

Trouble began late on when a ball was thrown from Vasco’s bench onto the pitch, prompting a stoppage and a dismissal from Renato Gaúcho’s staff. After full-time, referee Lucas Paulo Torezin brandished more cards amid a melee, then in the tunnel Pedrinho confronted him over two penalties he believed were not given and had to be restrained. The spray drifted into the mixed zone, and the officials later gave statements at the stadium police post, with some Vasco delegates also taken there.
