A minute’s silence was held before the World Cup quarter-final between Norway and England at Hardrock Stadium in Miami, in tribute to Jayden Adams, who has died.

The South African federation said in a statement that his humility, outstanding talent and pride in representing the country would always be remembered. Adams was found dead in a Cape Town hotel, and the circumstances have not been disclosed.
