Kyle Walker has taken just nine games to convince the AC Milan management, who have already made a decision regarding his future.
As MilanNews recall, Walker has been used in every game since arriving in January, except when he was absent due to injury. He has given positive signs, both within the team itself and among the members of the management.
He no longer has the youthful exuberance of 10 years ago when he dominated the right flank in England, but he remains a player with great experience who has brought improvements to Milan in the area of the pitch that was previously entrusted to Emerson Royal.
The Rossoneri signed him on loan during the winter transfer window, taking advantage of the player’s situation and the fact he wanted to leave Manchester City. The 34-year-old wanted to change leagues to find new motivation, so the opportunity to land in Italy came along and Milan seized it.
Walker’s stay will not last just six months, because the club’s idea is to use their €5m option to buy him permanently, by June 30. With the official transfer, the former Spurs man will sign another two years of contract, therefore until 2027.
Milan decided to go for Walker to bring a winning mentality into the dressing room. He played for Pep Guardiola’s City with whom he won 17 titles and the belief is that his experience can only be a positive thing, in addition to his consistent performance levels.
