The Egyptian star’s future is tied with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s decision to leave
Mohamed Salah is closer than ever to deciding his Liverpool future, according to report from Egypt.
As the Reds come to terms with Trent Alexander-Arnold's expected move to Real Madrid on a free transfer, a major news outlet in Salah's homeland has claimed that a decision over the forward's future is nearing a conclusion.
According to Masrawy, talks between Salah's agent Rami Abbas and Liverpool have advanced, and the terms on the table have never been more lucrative.
Masrawy quotes a source as saying: "Negotiations between Liverpool and Rami Abbas, Salah's agent, are much more advanced this time than ever before, and the offer presented is higher than any offer made to the player before."

The reported developments will prove sweet relief to Liverpool fans, who have seen the international break dominated by suggestions Alexander-Arnold's proposed Bosman move to Madrid has been all but agreed.
The reaction to the news from some Liverpool fans has been "toxic", according to club legend Jamie Carragher, who believes those who want the full-back punished for deciding to leave is "not what normal [fans think]".
The report on Salah's future adds an interesting twist to the Alexander-Arnold news, suggesting that the defender removing himself from the wage bill means Salah's full contract demands can be met.
It continues: "Arnold’s imminent departure from Liverpool will be a major factor in Salah’s contract renewal, following the reduction of the club’s high salaries, allowing the Egyptian star to be given what he desires in his new contract with the Reds."
