According to a report from Romain Monlina, Mohamed Salah’s (33) agent has contacted clubs in Italy over a potential transfer as the Egypt international attacker considers a move away from Liverpool. The 33-year-old’s relationship with the Premier League champions has soured over the last week following an interview he gave after being an unused substitute in a 3-3 draw against Leeds United.
Fabrice Hawkins exclusively revealed that the Liverpool forward was absent from the group that travelled to Milan to face Inter in the UEFA Champions League. The Egyptian’s exclusion from the group followed the interview, despite the Merseyside outfit suffering from reduced options in attack.
Salah explained in the interview that his relationship with Arne Slot had “broken down”, and that he felt the club had “thrown him under the bus”. He also cast a shadow of doubt over his long-term future at Anfield. With his future in doubt, the forward’s agent has been seeing if any clubs in Serie A would be willing to make a move for his services. However, given his large salary demands, Molina understands a move to Italy is almost impossible.
