Paul Pogba is just one of many players who are not at Sébastien Pocognoli’s disposal tonight as AS Monaco prepare to face Juventus in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
Pogba has been absent since the start of December with a calf injury. Over the weekend, he missed the game against formative club Le Havre AC and now he misses a game against another of his formative clubs, Juventus, too.
But the problems don’t end there for Monaco. Lukas Hradecky is out, as are Eric Dier, Christian Mawissa, Mohammed Salisu, Pape Cabral, Takumi Minamino, Wout Faes, Krépin Diatta, and Paris Brunner. The latter three are all ineligible, but Faes is also injured (ankle). That injury came against Le Havre, a game in which Dier sustained a hamstring injury. It leaves the Principality club with just one fit centre-back. Alongside Thilo Kehrer, Jordan Teze is expected to fill in.
