Monaco said on Tuesday that Brazilian full-backs Vanderson and Caio Henrique sustained hamstring injuries in Friday's 3-1 match in Paris and will be sidelined for several weeks.

Vanderson, who has had recurring hamstring issues, came off in the 15th minute at the Parc des Princes and tests showed a significant left-sided tear that requires surgery.

He will travel to Finland shortly for the operation. Monaco have not set a return date for the 24-year-old, who has seven Brazil caps, but the aim is for him to be available for the World Cup, which begins on 11 June.

Caio Henrique's problem is on the right side and is less serious, so no surgery is planned. His lay-off is expected to be shorter than Vanderson's. The 28-year-old left-back has five caps for the Seleção.

Vanderson is likely to miss many games during the run-in.
