According to Coluna Do Fla, Monaco are close to completing a deal for Barcelona midfielder Marc Casadó, with talks at an advanced stage as Filipe Luís moves towards taking charge next season.

The 22-year-old’s transfer is expected to be agreed at an initial 18 million euros, with a further 5 million euros in add-ons tied to targets. That equates to roughly R$ 104.7 million plus R$ 29.6 million.

Casadó would earn about three times his current Barcelona salary. Seeking regular minutes, he could feature more under Filipe Luís. The agreement is expected to be wrapped up next week.

Filipe Luís is understood to have a verbal agreement with Monaco, with final details now being settled.

Since leaving Flamengo in March, he has attracted European interest. Chelsea explored the option but he was not a priority, Bayer Leverkusen made an offer that he rejected, and Besiktas also came forward. He has opted for the Ligue 1 side.
