Kieffer Moore produced a sensational second-half display to fire Wrexham to a memorable 3-2 win over Championship leaders Coventry City at the Stok Cae Ras.
Ephron Mason-Clark had given Frank Lampard’s side the lead midway through the first half, but Moore turned the game around with a perfect hat-trick — right foot, header, and left foot — all set up by Josh Windass.
His three strikes in just 23 minutes took his season tally to nine and secured Wrexham’s most impressive result of the campaign.
Coventry pulled one back late through Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, but the Red Dragons held on to end the Sky Blues’ unbeaten league start, denying them a club-record seventh successive win.
Victory moves Wrexham up to 11th and marks back-to-back home league wins for the first time this season, giving Phil Parkinson’s side plenty of confidence heading into their next fixtures.
