Sidny Cabral remains intent on earning a shot under Mourinho, despite mounting doubts over his Benfica future and links to a summer exit.
A Bola reports that Trabzonspor understand Benfica’s valuation as the club look to recoup their outlay on the player, and that Benfica are in no rush to sell, awaiting Cabral’s involvement at the 2026 World Cup.
The winger holds a contract to 2030 and a release clause near €60 million. He has been floated in Türkiye as a possible makeweight in a move for Felipe Augusto. Trabzonspor’s president has acknowledged interest in Cabral after revealing the club had received a Benfica proposal for Augusto.
For now, Cabral’s focus is to earn minutes in Benfica’s final two league games, Braga on Monday 11 May, then Estoril on the Liga Portugal Betclic finale.
There is strong outside interest from Türkiye and the Netherlands, and other European clubs have made enquiries. Even so, the No 15 prioritises staying at Benfica, though he has not ruled out a move in the months ahead.
