Mourinho sweating on two starters for Arouca v Benfica | OneFootball

José Mourinho faces fitness doubts over captain Nicolás Otamendi and midfielder Leandro Barreiro for Benfica’s trip to Arouca on Saturday in the 26th round of the Liga Portugal Betclic.

According to Glorioso 1904, both players are still recovering from physical issues and remain doubtful for the match.

There is better news as winger Dodi Lukébakio, who played the second half against Porto, and attacking midfielder Georgiy Sudakov, unused in the clássico that finished 2-2, should be available for selection.

Midfielder Fredrik Aursnes and winger Bruma are confirmed absentees with muscle injuries. Aursnes is expected back in April, potentially in time for the derby with Sporting on matchday 30.

Benfica enter this round under pressure not to drop points as they seek to stay in the title race and, above all, secure second place. They trail Sporting by three points and leaders Porto by seven.

The Arouca v Benfica fixture is scheduled for Saturday 14 March at 20:30, away to Vasco Seabra’s side.
