Cristiano Ronaldo publicly scolded Benfica target Wesley late on in Al Nassr’s meeting with Al Quadisiya.
According to Glorioso 1904, the Brazil under-20 international drew a sharp rebuke from the Portugal captain in a match that ended in defeat for Jorge Jesus’ side.
With Al Nassr chasing an equaliser in the closing minutes, a corner was flicked on at the near post but ran behind. Ronaldo protested towards Wesley, who failed to attack the far post as the ball went out.
In the 40-year-old’s view, the 20-year-old had not done enough to keep the chance alive. The episode left the captain visibly frustrated.
After the match, the Saudi club are considering the 20-year-old’s departure in January.
This season for Al Nassr, Wesley, valued at five million euros, has made 16 appearances. That includes seven in the Saudi League, five in the AFC Champions League Two, two in the Super Cup and two in the King’s Cup. Across 964 minutes, he has scored four goals and provided one assist.
